E Mentoring

In common with all mentoring relationships, e-mentoring enables young, inexperienced people to benefit from the support of a more experienced individual. e-mentoring enables students direct access to an adult volunteer business mentor.  Through the medium of e-mail, they will establish a one-to-one career focused mentoring relationship in a safe, secure trust zone.

The students will be matched with a mentor working in a career that they are considering or aspire to. This will enable them to find out first hand about the qualifications required, possible courses, promotional prospects etc.

Being able to communicate via e-mail allows the flexibility to recruit Mentors locally, nationally or in some cases internationally.

Benefits to students:

  • Direct access to an adult mentor;

  • Career focused advice;

  • Opportunity to develop their I.T skills in an innovative way;

  • Wider knowledge of the world of work;

  • Enhanced inter-personal skills.
