24/08/2010 Chorley student builds a successful future

A young student from Chorley has secured top marks in a Construction Diploma at the Eric Wright Learning Foundation in Leyland. Tom Scott, 16, from Albany Science College, was one of two students who secured a distinction in their BTEC First Diploma in Construction, with a further ten students securing merits.

13/07/2010 EXPO 2010

EXPO 2010 took place on 27 & 28 January and was probably one of the most ambitious projects Lancashire Education Business Partnership has ever undertaken. EXPO 2010, staged at Accrington & Rossendale College, was an Information, Advice and Guidance event for over 2500 students from across the Rossendale, Hyndburn and Ribble Valley regions.

On Wednesday 31st March, teams of pupils from three Blackpool Primary Schools (Devonshire Primary School, Norbreck Primary School and St. John Vianney’s Catholic Primary School) and three Blackpool High Schools (Collegiate High School, Montgomery High School and Palatine Community Sports College) attended the final of the Egg Descent Challenge at Blackpool Sports Centre.

26/03/2010 Millfield Enterprise Day

An enterprise day where year 10 students will form companies to create an advert to promote their school, with a judging session where the winner will film the advert for real and have it previewed on LEBP’s website. The event encourages entrepreneurial skills, team work, creativity and meeting deadlines.
