STEM Links

Where do I start in finding quality STEM Information and Activities?

The STEM team at Lancashire Education Business Partnership are often told that the range of STEM information available to schools is overwhelming.

There is so much information available that sometimes it is difficult to know where to start, to be certain you have found a quality scheme or to locate an activity that fits your specific purpose - there are so many different opportunities available.

To facilitate teachers, education staff and even students in navigating their way through the STEM information available we have compiled a list of STEM links below.

These categorised links give details on a range of STEM activity and curriculum enhancement providers, as well as approved STEM information portals that are being used by Lancashire Schools.

Ground Works Pennine Lancashire

KS1, KS2, KS3, KS4

Climate change is the biggest threat our society has ever faced. Higher temperatures, rising sea levels, flooding and droughts are already a cause for concern, locally as well as globally. We believe that engaging future generations of decision makers in understanding and acting on climate change is one of the most effective ways of ensuring people change their long-term behaviour.

The Cool Climate Programme, funded by Lancashire County Council, will provide 180 free workshops each year, aimed at pupils in key stage 2 and 3, and their teachers and teaching assistants. Our workshops are designed to help participants find out for themselves the links between their actions and climate change and to provide practical actions for pupils, their teachers and parents to see how small things can make a big difference.
