The aims were simple…to

INSPIRE      FOCUS      FUTURE      POTENTIAL      OPPORTUNITIES

…and importantly to let students see how bright their future could be.

Phil Gledhill, Partnership Officer 14-19 Lancashire....

On behalf of myself and the Lead Group, can I express our extreme gratitude to you and the team who made Expo such a massive success! In the last 24 hours I have received a number of very complementary comments and emails about the event and how well it was organised and managed. Students in our area will no doubt be still buzzing from their experience of visiting Expo. Can I ask that you pass on a big thank you from me to all concerned at LEBP for all of the long hours spent in preparing and delivering Expo!

Overall the feedback has been generally positive, both schools and employers saw the value in the event and enjoyed the experience. Lancashire Education Business Partnership feel that students benefited from the event and enjoyed the experience. Students were very keen to join in on all the activities which gave them good insight and taste into the World of Work. This should help students with their options at school before entering year 10. Conversations held with employers over both days revealed that employers was they were happy with their representation, the consensus of employers were very satisfied with the numbers of students, they just hoped to spend a little more time with the students, and interact more.

Lancashire Education Business Partnership continues to evaluate the event and procedures to ensure best practice and that schools get the most appropriate work related learning provision possible. Lancashire Education Business Partnership will also continue to work with all schools to ensure we support your Work Related Learning agendas.

Once again we would like to thank all Schools, Companies, Training providers and Sixth forms for attending and supporting EXPO 2010.
